How to Write an Essay About Yourself
How to Write an Essay About YourselfMy friend was studying her English essay on herself. She was afraid to show any type of emotion, as she had recently been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her breast. Her reading was going well, but she was having difficulty analyzing her own thoughts and feelings. There were times when she was forced to read her own thoughts aloud to herself for more than an hour, as she realized how much of self-deprecating thoughts, doubts, and fears were coming through her writings. After a while, she began to cry, wondering how she would ever complete the assignment in time.I could relate to this, and here are some ideas on how to write an essay about yourself. First, before you start writing, you need to figure out why you are writing your essay. You must first make a decision to write the essay. One must consider whether or not the essay is really about yourself. If you decide to write an essay about yourself, then the rest of the steps will be easier. You can start by making a list of goals you want to accomplish by completing the assignment. Begin by listing all the things that will require your attention, and take note of these first, as this will help you when you begin the essay. Then, begin to list down the items you are likely to find yourself thinking about during the process. Be careful not to list your future worries, because the next step is to list your current worries. Take note of the items that are related to the things you listed in the first section, and write them down. You want to be able to write down the things that bother you when you think about your situation. The last thing to list down is personal experiences. This is where you put down your fears, and the negative things that have happened to you in the past. Since your goal is to write an essay about yourself, you should be aware that you will have to write at least three pages about each item on your list. You should be prepared to be faced with the questions , that you will probably find difficult to answer, such as, 'Why am I feeling the way I do?' and 'What will happen if I don't do anything about this situation?'After writing all of the items on your list, get ready to write about your own thoughts and feelings. By using these suggestions, you will be well on your way to writing an essay about yourself.
